Centres of Expertise
The research of the ICCL is organised into four Centres of Expertise which seek to address the following major research questions:
Business Model Innovation
How can companies redefine industry boundaries rather than follow others? How can they create new product platforms and organisational practices, and position themselves at the heart of new business networks that contribute to long-term sustainable patterns of development while simultaneously driving economic value creation for the firm? An important part of this Centre of Expertise focuses on how to develop radically new products and new business models for emerging economies.
Managing Innovative Teams
How can teams maximise their creative output to accomplish radical innovation? Which management practices contribute to creative team performance?
Online Innovation/ Crowdsourcing
How can companies enhance their innovative performance by using online innovation communities to generate radically creative ideas? How do these online communities for innovation work as a setting for collaborative groups?
Small Worlds
How can companies boost innovation using open corporate campuses and science parks? How can interactive learning and knowledge transfer via open corporate campuses be stimulated in such a way that the innovative performance of individual companies in such "Small Worlds" will accelerate?
